Yesterday I kicked of my REVIVED tour with a launch event at
Elliott Bay Book Company in Seattle. (If you live in the Seattle area and haven’t been to the store, go immediately. It is awesomesauce.) Quite a few people came out to help me celebrate including several local authors. Event attendees got to rub elbows with
Kevin Emerson,
Sean Beaudoin,
Heather Davis and
Liz Gallagher. I had the amazing
Judith Fernstrom on hand to document the occasion and the one shot I wish I’d asked her to get was one of all of us authorly types together. Next time!

Hey, guess what? REVIVED comes out in seven weeks! The whole “publishing a book” process takes forever squared, so seven weeks seems like seconds. My calendar tells me that I have my nephew’s birthday party then a date night to see
The Hunger Games at the fancy theater then Spring Break then a visiting brother then a visiting friend then it’s book launch time.

As you may know if you follow me here or
there, I traveled away most of February, first on a family vacation to Hawaii and then on a pre-publication book tour for
Revived (which comes out IN LESS THAN TWO MONTHS!). The trips were very different but they both afforded me some downtime to read other authors’ books…and I read a bunch of great ones. So, I thought I’d do a quick post on what I’ve read recently.
