introducing book three

Quick post to say YAY! The word is officially out about my third book baby, THE ORIGINALS. Here’s the news direct from PW Children’s Bookshelf: Elizabeth Bewley at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers has bought North American rights toThe Originals by Cat Patrick, author of Forgotten and the forthcoming Revived. In the story, three teenage clones secretly live out each in day in public as one girl as they struggle for independence within a family that only science could have created. Publication is set for spring 2013; Daniel Lazar at Writers House was the agent.  So glad that’s finally OUT THERE! I’m bad at secret keeping. And apparently, at writing books without strange. Who’s ready to hang with some clones?

    Ooh, that sounds really interesting! I love stories about clones, but I find it hard to discover really good ones…The last clone book I read was an utter disappointment; I made it to page fifty out of 350. But on a your-books-note, I enjoyed Forgotten a lot, so I’m looking forward to this.
