Well, hello there.

This is my first official blog post. Ever. I’m not sure what to say. Welcome? Yes, welcome. You’ve landed at the home on the web for me, author Cat Patrick. Thanks for stopping by. It still feels funny to call myself “author.”  My first novel, Forgotten, won’t be on store shelves until June 2011, so until then, I might be more comfortable with titles like “mom,” “friend,” “sister,” or “lady awesomeness.” Maybe I’ll buy this sweet bracelet from Etsy seller MetalTaboo and start going by Rock Star, despite my amazing lack of musical talent. I guess “author” is starting to fit, too. That’s the funny thing about titles; sometimes they take awhile to stick. Random sidebar: Any guesses what Forgotten’s original title was? Anyway, whatever title you go by, be it “supercool,” “fancypants” or just Joe, I thank you kindly for visiting. And I promise to evolve into the role of “better blogger” very soon. cat
